Ladies 29th May 2017
Looking forward to the Tramway game, we thought we were going to be a bit short of players, however, with sacrifice and dedication by Kirsten, Marianne and Salina we were able to go through to Tramway will 11 players.
Some of our ladies had played in a tournament just before the scheduled game and they were hyped up for the challenge.
The game was not what we expected, but our ladies still had to put in the effort to score goals and that’s exactly what they did. In the first 13 minutes of the game, we had our first hat-trick by Naemi Frenzel.
By half-time we had added 5 more goals through:
Sune Van Heerden (1), Shannon Mills scored the 5th and 8th goals respecively(2),#6 was an own goal from a corner which Shannon delivered, the 7th goal was Naemi Frenzel’s 4th goal of the game.
Half Time: Tramway FC 0 Bellville City FC 8
The ladies were eager to go out and score more goals in the second half, but with the main intent to enjoy the game and not concede any goals.
We made a change in goal, Logan Mulder replacing Danica Mollentze and Logan used her experience by keeping it easy and not allowing the ball to get past her.
We scored three more goals in the 2nd half, through Kirsten Sinclair(1), Shannon Mills (Hat-trick) and Salina Ludi.
Full Time: Tramway FC 0 Bellville City FC 11
Our ladies played well on the night, communication and quick passing were in effect. Our finishing in front of goal could have been better, however, we will take all the positives we can from the performance.
Our next fixture is against Goodwood United at PP Smit on the 3rd of June, your support is welcome.
