Ladies 29th May 2017
Our toughest game this season did not turn out as what we expected. It had a lot of ups and downs.
The fixture was always going to be a mouthwatering game, however, our ladies were unfortunately not prepared enough and took a blow on the chin.
We lacked in a few key areas on the field and UCT exploited those areas in the 1st 20 minutes. They went 3-0 up against us with wonderful football, playing the ball wide and finishing at a top quality.
Half Time: UCT Reserves 3 Bellville City FC 0
Our ladies were not ever going to give up, unfortunately, we conceded another goal through a penalty.
Thereafter we scored what seemed to be a comeback goal by Naemi Frenzel, however, owing to another injury in the middle of the park, we were forced to go down to 10 players.
We have been on the receiving end of a number of injuries, we were only 13 players on the night against UCT Reserves. However, we would like to thank UCT coaching staff for their sportsmanship and hospitality by reducing their team to 10players after our player got injured because we could not make any more substitutions.
Full Time: UCT Reserves 4 Bellville City FC 1
Our ladies were not impressed with their own performances on the night, however, we will not see it as a setback because we knew what we were up against.
Our next game is against Tramway FC this Friday the 26th of May and we will look to boost our Team morale and get back to winning ways.
