In a tightly contested game at Northpine, on what was a hot and blustery day, the 1st team struggled against a more than useful Northpine 1st XI. Conceding a relatively soft goal in the first half, the team had limited changes of their own whilst also being somewhat guilty of giving away possession too easily.

With a few changes to personnel in the 2nd half, some tactical and some forced due to injury, Bellville City FC seemed to play with more structure and purpose in the 2nd half. However, a resolute Northpine defense, and some debatable / marginal refereeing offside decisions,  again resulted in limited chances until, with literally the last kick of the game, Marco found himself with space in the penalty box and managed to stroke the ball past the keeper into the corner of the net for the equalizer.
