A very early game (8:40) at a chilli Table View home ground was the setting for this week.
First Third : Our boys started off strong, but could not find the goal to show for their dominance. A solid performance from Ruan Brand in defence and midfield dominance by Jaryd Rhode set up a good pass to Riaan Kuyk who crossed the ball to an unmarked Keiran Muller who fittingly obliged for his first goal of the season and a celebration to match. 0-1 up.
Second Third : Three changes on our team eventually brought Table View back in the game and they score from an indirect free kick, but the referee disallowed. The game is going end to end, but neither team could score. An injury to one of our players brought Riaan Kuyk back on the field, just in time to latch onto a loose ball and score our second. 0-2 up.
Final Third : More changes to the team and more chances wasted for both teams. A good attacking move from Table View allows them their first goal. Some more midfield battles brought a Table View player down, but some of our magic water and attention from both team coaches brought the player to his feet with a sportsman-like applause from all the boys and parents supporting. The boys suddenly stepped up a gear and some good passing moves sets up Liam Kuyk for his first of the season with a celebration that would make Christiano Ronaldo proud. Final Score 1-3 to Bellville City

Well done to the Table View Coach for quickly getting his players to the field after not being aware of the early kick-off. Good and fair refereeing was part of a very good experience at the grounds.
Well done boys!!!…. A solid performance once again leaves a satisfied coach with a lot of expectation in the season.
