The 6th side played Clyde Pinelands on Saturday past in Pinelands.

Even though the weather was terrible the boys went out with a positive attitude to try and move further up the log.

Bellville went 1-0 up early with a very well worked goal. After that we did not use the opportunities that we created and missed 5 one on ones with the Pinelands keeper. Pinelands had absolutely no shots on our keeper for the game.

However due to some dubious decisions by the Clyde Pinelands referee and allowing many dangerous tackles, Pinelands were awarded two penalties to the shock of the Bellville bench and on field players.

The game ended 2-1 to Pinelands. Even though the game was not played in good spirits by the home team, Bellville walked away with our heads held high, as all Bellville players do.

We look forward to the knockout games this weekend.
