On Saturday 3 June Edgemead played host to Bellville U11 Avengers.

Edgemead opened the scoring with a blinding shot, giving Xander no chance to save.

We had a fight on our hands but, true to our boys style, they never dropped their shoulders and Luke Williams soon levelled matters.

The 2nd half was a fight of note and, once again, Edgemead put a spectacular shot in the far top corner.

Bellville was having none of it and applied immediate pressure scoring their 2nd goal of the left boot of Aviwe.

Down to the last 5 minutes and Edgemead sunk what they thought was the winner. Oh no it’s not over until the final whistle blows and Olunje was there to spoil their day.

Xander had a great game in goals and has developed his place kicks perfectly. Great game for Luke ,Olunje and the birthday boy Scotty.
