Our first official home game for the season and everyone remains hopeful that our opponents pitch for the game, unlike the last time we were disappointed.

Not even a rainy Saturday was enough to keep our faithful supporters away. – A big thank you to all the parents.

First Third :  As we’ve become accustomed to now, our boys starts very well, confidently knocking the ball around as they attack the Bothasig goal. What can be seen as warming up, the boys miss a few chances, but to my surprise we manage to score (Riaan Kuyk) within minutes of the start. The second goal from the same player also followed not to long after, leaving the coaches smiling from the touchline. 2-0 up.

Second Third :  A couple of tactical changes allows Bothasig back in the game and they show some good moves. We are unable to get another for ourselves, but had no intentions of giving any as Ruan Brand calmly dealt with anything coming his way. A few more substitutions for both teams leave the score unchanged and the referee brings the third to an end. 2-0 up.

Final Third : The team once again manage to find each other for all, but missed opportunities. Our third goal eventually comes through Jaryd who owed the team one after an earlier miss. The ref brings an end to the game and the score remains 3-0.

Well done boys!!!…. Another good overall good performance brings us our second win, but our finishing let us down again.
