On Saturday 20 May U11A travelled to de Beers soccer club in Somerset West.

Another epic battle was about to take place on the field. Little did we know that we would be entertained by an exciting  display of excellent control and great finishing.

The ball found the back of the net 10 times in 40 minutes. The final score 5-5, with that equaliser coming in the dying minute off the head of BCFC Matthew Jones.

Matthew was, without a doubt, Bellville City’s Man of the Match having scored 4 brilliant goals. Nahum Rhode scored his maiden goal for BCFC.

Athan de Jager played his 1st game as captain of the side and did brilliantly to control the field of play and feed some of the balls perfectly for Matthew to strike.

The defenders came together nicely and frustrated the opposition efforts.

The spirit in which the game was played was a real example to all that were privileged to watch.De Beers are to be commended for their hospitality and sportsmanship.
