Being thrown in the deep end to field a side against Northpine’s O/40’s we managed to pull a team together.

Playing in scorching hot conditions with not a breath of wind the guys rallied together stringing passes together like you have never seen – this paid off and soon we were 0-1 up. A lack of concentration and a patchy period of play caused us a goal and a penalty given against – Charl (who played 3 games on the day) saved the penalty and there was our turning point.

We went on to score an additional 5 unanswered goals – Marco Gargiulo (4), Darwin van Rooyen (1) and our very own Club Chairman Sean Smit (1) (penalty).
