Monday night lights is what we  experienced this past Monday 7 August 2017 at Parow Park.

 

Our New and developing Reserve ladies team of Bellville City took on an experienced Vasco Reserve team.

 

Unfortunately, we only had 11 players on the night and things did not go our way. I must say I am proud of our ladies performance.

Nina Quintal made her debut in Goals and she came off with a number of good saves to keep the score down to only 1-0 at half time.

 

We had a number of one on one opportunities, however, we could not punish our opponents.

 

 

The second half allowed Vasco to put fresh legs on the park and we were not going to go down without a fight. We made a couple of errors going forward which allowed Vasco to counter and score on a couple of occasions.

 

We got an injury with about 10minutes to play and I encouraged the ladies to play stronger. With only 10 ladies on the park we scored a consulation goal through Sanchia Fairweather.

 

The final score does not show a true reflection of how our ladies played.

 

We were dominating in the attack and unfortunately the fitness let us down.
