Bellville Tygers produced four U/12 players for the WP team. The tournament took place at Marks Park in Johannesburg from the 07th to the 11th April 2017.
During this tournament a squad of thirty two players were selected to be part of the training squad for the SA team. WP had two teams, A and B, and during this tournament 9 kids from the B team and 8 from the A team were selected for this squad. The rest were players from Gauteng, Eden Districts and Winelands.
After a month of training together, 18 players were selected for the SA team. Out of the 4 players of Bellville Tygers that represent WP, 2 players, which are Lyle McKenzie and Bryce McCleland, will be part of this SA team that are going to represent SA in the World Cup in Tainan, Taiwan from 28th July to 08th August 2017.

Each player needed R15000 for this tournament. The parents were well supported in all fundraisers and we at Bellville Tygers also had the privilege to be sponsored by the 5th side of Bellville City Soccer Club with a substantial amount to ease the financial burden of the Bellville Tygers Parents.
