The match started really well for BCFC as we enjoyed the majority of the ball possession. The boys were well structured by playing through the phases and switching the ball with great success (training drills working).

Half time: Goodwood United FC 0 Bellville City FC 3

The 2nd half started and Goodwood scored 2 goals in succession after we lost the ball on the attack  and they counter attacked.

Our defenders were under heavy pressure and Goodwood scored again.

At the score 3 – 3 the boys pulled it together, we made vital substitutions and BCFC scored a fourth goal. The boys displayed great character and endurance and BCFC scored 2 more goals. Goodwood FC then responded with another goal.

The match was tense as BCFC hung on to the lead, the match endeding with the final score Goodwood FC 4 – 5 BCFC.
