1st Team Reserves 26th May 2017
From the start, the team settled down and began to play some really good football. The team dominated the game but unfortunately were not clinical enough in front of goal. As a result numerous attempts and chances were not taken.
We were forced to play against a team with very good wide options and managed to defend well collectively. The team maintained their hold on the game but could not score the goal it deserved.

When the 2nd half started, the team renewed their commitment to take the game to the opposition and this resulted in the team regaining its ascendency. We held sway until the 65th minute, when good wing play resulted in our fullback beaten and the opponents scoring. This did not dampen the team’s spirits and we regrouped quickly.
Then at the 75 minute mark, a clever short free-kick by Ayden Jacobs was picked up by Lawrence Jansen van Rensburg (captain) and he unleashed an absolute screamer from 30m out into the top left corner of the goal. An easy contender for club goal of the season.
With their energies now up, the team pushed hard for the winner but were unable to get it.
