The match started at 9h00 with Bothasig attacking from the start putting our defence under pressure for most of the first half. Our defence kept their composure and constantly cleared the ball to Minke, Ethan, Eddy and Luca.

Kaydon saved a few harsh attempts at goal but they eventually sneaked the ball through after Kaydon threw in too short, missing AJ and losing the ball to the opposition’s striker.

The second half started late after the referee disappeared. Bothasig’s coach came to apologize and asked if it was ok for him to ref the game. I agreed but just then one of their other club members offered to take over.

In the second half Tiaan and Kevin did a good job on the left pushing the ball forward giving our front players good chance to score but with no success. Bothasig got a goal when Mark, playing CB, kicked the ball against one of the opponents and it reflected over Kaydon. The third goal then came soon after that.
