Bellville City’s U/13B side played their first knockout game of the season against Edgemead and what an entertaining match it was!

 

This was their coach’s debut match and there was a lot of pressure and expectations from everyone.

 

Edgemead did not have enough player cards, therefore the game was a walkover giving Bellville City a 3-0 victory. Both clubs agreed to only tell the players about the walkover after the game so that the boys would still play their hearts out and they did just that.

 

The game was entertaining with 7 goals in total, 3 penalties and one yellow card.

 

A special mentioned has to go to Christiaan who saved a penalty and made a few world class saves.

 

Bellville City lost the game 2-5 but are through to the next round as a result of the walkover.
