As expected Ajax dominated ball possession from the start. Our team started anxiously and a sloppy back pass created Ajax’s 1st goal.
Our structure was “okay” when Ajax had possession and switched play. The 2nd goal almost happen in the same manner. In hindsight it’s not all bad to concede like that as long as we learn from it.

During our half time chat we ask the boys not to be concerned with the score and just play the game the way we train. We managed to score a goal by Cameron (CAM) midway in the 2nd half.
It goes without saying they were the better team, and I was impressed with their team fitness and their decision making. The game was played in very good spirits and they were quite surprised that we are playing in the Promotion league this season.
Our Man of the match as the Goalkeeper, Zascher, who had a good game with a few saves.
We can’t wait for our 1st league game.
