On Saturday 22 April U11A hosted Table View in what turned out to be a very good match. We always expect a tough game against this club but look forward to the challenge.
Bellville were caught by the initial pace and were surprised to be one goal down in the first minute. Two of the boys that played on the day had no previous match experience and so it took a while to settle in and know exactly what was expected.
In the confusion we conceded a second goal in a very short period of time. 10 minutes in and the boys started to gain confidence and were able to pull back a goal of the boot of Matthew Jones.
By half time we found ourselves trailing by 3 goals to 1.
In the second half we pulled back our big guns in the likes of Ugo, Athan and Olunje to add support at the back.
Bellville dominated the 2nd half and were able to score off the boot of Ruben Beyer.
There were many missed opportunities with the finishing but it was a spirited come back and a great game to watch.
